maria ressa, i know and i feel deeply in my psychic mind that your tindahan is really in africa and indonesia. please go back and tend your tindas there. don't bother us filipinos with your friggin' shitty media gimmicks.

have you ever tried this?

1. look for your IRQ by right clicking computer, going to properties, then finding device manager

2. look for your default network adapter and right click again go to properties and look for the displayed deafult adapter under the heading Network Adapter

3. Under properties click Resources and you will see IRQ number

4. click Start, Run then type sysedit. look for sys.ini file and under 386enh, type IRQ__ (your IRQ number from item no. 3 above)

5. then type =4096.

this increases your internet speed.

me?  i typed 20x that. eh he eh he eh he!!!!!

postscript:

if you are running windows vista 64bit, do not type sysedit, but type "system.ini" instead. then do the same editing as described in item no. 4 and 5 above.

i like my new system. no intel on it (sigh!)

i am out of the intel processor loop now. i'm using an entirely amd sys. although my board is athlon msi 5500 core duo.

i'm running on a relatively cheap system, about 30,000 only but it has 7 gigabytes of DDR2 RAM 667. a 7300 nvidia video card with tv et al features. i didn't have to buy a new monitor since my old 19 inches is still reliable; my mouse, casing, wireless keyboard are all ok up to now. the camera, printer, scanner, are also all ok. so it's basically just the inside of the CPU that i bought with 30 large.

all in all, it's a fast system, but probably faster if it was intel? i really don't know. the comparison reviews really don't show it at all.

and now i amrunning on vista 64bit, which shows the entire 7gigbyt of RAM, unlike in the 32-bit version that does not really show the actual installed capability at all.

so more or less, it's a good system for me after all, even though it puts me out of the intel processor loop. eh he eh he eh he.  i love intel.  if i had more money to spare, i would have gunned for an intel processor. for now, this is an okay thing for me to play with and work on.

i'm beginning to fall in love with AMD. hmmm...
