About me

User: ezky
Name: Ez Ro aka ezky, ezqy, etc(y) caffeine-junky
I don't know about any of your interests, but i literally grew up on coffee, tea and even burnt rice when there wasn't a store to buy coffee from in the buquids and the coastal place where i grew up. I tried decaf, then yoga tasked me to shift to skim milk, vegetarian diet made me drink sentient carrot and fruit juice, then i discovered all those herbal whatnots and contemplated wearing pampers instead of under garments. Its coffee time once more and life seems so much better. Don't blame me if your life is so miserable, you probably haven't tried putting coffee in a dextrose straight into your veins! Would it be better than drugs? Tell me this drug is just like any other.

precious little things

i never really knew and placed too much faith that we would reach the age of minisculism such as we did.  in 1982-1983, i was urging businessman joseph mcmicking through cuervo law offices in buendia of miniaturizing the typewriter into a "microrite" as i had called it then. there was no response, or at least, i got none at the time. who would bother with a kid with milk in his mouth talking about minisculism? when there was silicon valley to solve these problems? but my point was not electronicizing or digitalizing the typewriter, just miniaturizing it.

i never really knew this time would come, but still i'm hankering for a forthcoming love. years ago, around 1994-1995 we had those digital cell phones that could text. it did not really matter then because the mobile unit was still so large it almost fit into the cradle of your palm. smaller like today, would have been better.  ten years later, my friends wanted me to buy a really classy cell phone, i refused. with all the money you have, how can you let the new developments pass you by?  they ask. it's all bull shit i said. look at all the people around you wearing them everywhere like a talisman or a symbol of power. you see everyone wasting it all away on just pure nonsense text that contain unintelligible gibberish.  hmph! it's as if more than half or perhaps 99% of the population that purchased cell phones became nincompoops and keep wasting their money on what could have been productive enterprise. how sad!  and yet all they do is keep texting pure nothing and receiving the same. and being happy with it.

i lost faith.

that's not progress.  so i don't have a classy cell phone? who cares, anyway.

anyway, what i wanted nokia, sony, lg, morotoral or any other cell company to come up with, is a miniature laptop like the nokia 9000 series and the new e90.  but this laptop would have cell phone capability, can have cdma and gsm frequency built into one, and will have different slots for SIM. multiple numbers, hmm? anyone?  furthermore, it will self erase its own IMEI. can you dig that?

unfortunately for governments, it would make it harder for them to monitor terrorists through the mobile phone.  tsk tsk.  sigh!

then those little gadgets came.  now we have around us these teeny weeny things like ipods, mp3, mp4, pda's, etcetera, etcetera. even cameras, microphones, components, so small that several of them will all fit into your coin purse.even when we had those cell phones that had digital capability in 1994-95, it was nothing, because at the time, they still took up the space of your palm, or almost.

i started by buying big then small hard disks - usb flash disks.  then this something from de la salle who's a daughter of my friend who did not grow up under his stead and stable but was raised only by her mother and relatives, comes into his office and sees my disk (not dick, mind you) and the disk (i said, not dick!  stupid) is all gone!

the next time i went to my friend's office, his own flash disk is also gone! when he asks his daughter from de la salle, she doesn't admit to it.  after returning to the subject several times, my friend manages to get a confession from her daughter from de la salle that she accidentally puts my friend's disk (again, not dick) into her pocket and brung it up and away.  but what about my disk?  (sabi nang not dick, eh, ang kulit!)  damn her and damn all her mentors to hell!!!

I never really knew what happened to it and my friend would not dare admit to me too.  what's de la salle teaching it's freshmen female students anyway?  don't they have religion to teach morals and values?  i feel like shit thinking about those things i lose in my friend's office everytime i go visit.  maybe it's her de la salle daughter who's been taking all those precious little (and even the big things - imagine losing a huge umbrella there and to think it's the rainy season nowadays) and going up and away!  now, everytime i think about those lost items, the image of that daughter from de la salle comes up and it's truly ugly, mind you.  she now seems to me to be the ugliest creature i've ever run into in this planet.

sometimes i wish, they hadn't miniaturized everything.

but to even things up, i bought a large necklace for my other flash disk (ayan ka na naman).  then i wind that in my neck.  now let's see if de la salle daughter could still get it.

humph!

sometimes, i think, de la salle sucks!  shit!!!

i certainly wish there was a better way to not lose these precious little things.

minisculization, miniaturization, damn!!!
