About me

User: ezky
Name: Ez Ro aka ezky, ezqy, etc(y) caffeine-junky
I don't know about any of your interests, but i literally grew up on coffee, tea and even burnt rice when there wasn't a store to buy coffee from in the buquids and the coastal place where i grew up. I tried decaf, then yoga tasked me to shift to skim milk, vegetarian diet made me drink sentient carrot and fruit juice, then i discovered all those herbal whatnots and contemplated wearing pampers instead of under garments. Its coffee time once more and life seems so much better. Don't blame me if your life is so miserable, you probably haven't tried putting coffee in a dextrose straight into your veins! Would it be better than drugs? Tell me this drug is just like any other.

well, i have no excuses and i won't make any.  maybe there is a lot to thank the nuisance and trash-minded, ambitious locos, nincompoops nonpareil in our midsts.  eeeeeeeeeeech!!!!  but, honestly, they have done a lot of service. they will derail the removal of the gridlock in our legislative - judiciary; they postponed the asean summit; they stopped the automation of the polls; they are helping with funding on the sly and providing intelligence for the bombing of cebu; they are preparing to burn the national capital district and dump millions of tons of waste in luneta from december 15 until christmas -- by converting it into another edsa daw (bongga ka day!!!); they will run (naked?) in front of ust and other schools as a victory party -- for nicole or kicking out lady CEO(?); i just might make a good showing after the book is released after all, and make a lot of money from their stupidity. so i dedicate this post to corie, teetho gingerna, faith healer mix volardi (erstwhile of the woods of marikina - now back to his multinl villas), drylong, bay-inay!, ssrajjah, biddung engreekhiss!, the komnist maglulupa, manoy duoduong ne-mens, hielga, liha na baro, donky solaymen as well as all her felolesboes, finky legzzon and all the gays in their group, and all the rest of them followers of beelzebub.  god bless your tribe of vexations of our collective spirit.  eh he eh he eh he!!!

flying arguments

some people just looooooove the best kind of coffee.  they love drinking it in good environs, they either take a flight to land in a posh foreign fixed residence or a temp (world class 5-star hotel) or build a dream house in a posh subdivision locally where they can lap up their expensive coffee at.

i find the article of a news daily on the non payment of the german fraport’s investment of $650 million quite off key.

in the first place, the contract with the Philippine government for the construction of the airport was originally just over $300 million.

by 2002, all the supposed $650 million invested by the germans and a local company owned by victor cheng and family, and seemingly ran by his son jeffrey and subalterns like manny cuevas – wherever he does come from and whether these people know anything about running airports is a tall order, had been spent. so they say.

certainly, there are big, big, very lavishly furnished houses in posh subdivisions that instantly came about as a result of spending more or less double the originally intended $300 million.  a lot of purses got richer from take in endless PR work.  even a large number of indays got paid too well for non conventional PR services.

sadly, there were also contractors' groups who were poorer by hundreds and hundreds of millions for the huge mark-ups (sometimes more than 200%) on the civil works in and around the airport.  a small access road budgeted for between P40- 50 million, after mark ups were applied, suddenly became more than P100 million. por diyos por santo!

so the supposedly dollar money from germany was all spent. and yet, the japanese contractor takenaka, has not yet been paid. (ever wonder what happened here?)  so, technically, when the government had to borrow the susi (the key, not the raw fish, dumb dumb) to enter the premises, it had to be the japanese firm that they had to borrow the susi from, because by all intents and purposes it is they who own the property after having built it and all without getting paid nary a cent by the germans and pinoy (big real estate accumulators and good ‘PR’ providers) counterpart company.

the government had fortunately started paying off takenaka from out of dbm funds. in all, the german firm’s $650 million appears not to exist since takenaka built the airport on a turn key basis. perhaps, the civil works that were built with excessive mark ups of up to hundreds or near thousands of percent, with all the mark up going back to the philippine counterpart (often in advance), are all that the german firm has to be proud of.

meaning, the supreme court was correct in ordering the germans to divest themselves of this project. and local analysts are right in saying that the government committed a grave error in accepting the dare of the contractor to attend proceedings in a singapore court.

the new naia airport is a philippine government property – no doubt about that at all. and even if i like the german language, fraport should take a more than cautious stand here. and the german ambassador should know better.

now, would you doubt that we lesser humans may have a taste for good coffee, but others have an outlandish obsession to drink sky high priced brew.

now, madame president or jun yasay, please open up that airport now.

nyeheheheheeeey!

cuba gateway

i'm saving a new pack of taster's choice for later. when you're tired or too lazy for brewing, instant is still the best, right?  meanwhile, i'm in the mood to brew.  i'll tell you what my flavor is, later...

now it’s no longer just cubao that has a gateway.  cuba, a long time isolationist state, is making an opening up stand, too.

after fidel castro’s very lengthy gallivanting with countries in a group called the non-aligned movement – nam, now the brother of fidel, raul castro made an entirely different tack from the position of his brother that was adversarial and confrontational with neighbour united states.  fidel himself is said to be out of the public eye, fueling speculations that he is dying.

in 1983, the harbingers of the first commune in the world, intellectuals of the first order, analyzed and came to a conclusion that communism is dead.

that it no longer had the appeal and its rationale for existence had long gone.

today, china remains communist but as we all know, its entrepreneurial spirit has overtaken everything in that country.  the same blood of the people they used to drive out of that country who became chinese-vietnamese, chinese-filipino, chinese-malaysian, chinese-indonesian, chinese-japanese, chinese-american, chinese-hawai'ian etc., has resurrected like a phoenix in china.  confucius' and the other classic republican thinkers of china's view of an exclusivist, stratified society (like Japan's, India's, Korea's and a few other oriental nations' --- our own ancient culture not excluded) have now become passé.  the merchants now have it all again, sort of nice to be back -- with a vengeance.

*   *   *   *   *   *

the only other formations preferring to be communist or socialist, are cuba, libya -- with a different brand as it espouses the so-called jamahariyah state, and the philippines' communist party.

how long the filipino communists will stick to their guns, we don't know.  how long will dodong nemenzo stick to his pure socialist ideology, we don't know.  will he part with it?  maybe never.

as far as learned quarters can tell, china has stopped supporting even the cause of the pinoy communists.  they have however continued to provide employment, privileges and benefits to the daughter of the pinoy communism master, joe ma sison and wife, juliet de lima sison.

*   *   *   *   *   *

 if cubao has a gateway, cuba is making an opening, (i really like that raul castro guy, for now) how far will our pinoy communists take their bayan muna, gabriela, suara bangsamoro, and other links to mainstream society?

how far will magdalo, their elder sponsors  and their ilk, hiding behind all of these young officers make their own openings too?

to what extremes then with the local communists and their counterpart in the right of the spectrum go if they will not open up to the rest of us pinoys?

now that's the six million dollar question.  let's have coffee now.  incidentally, you would like to try this brew i'm making now --- its folgers with hazelnut flavor.  i'm taking a sip now...   ummm!  rich blend and it only takes 1 tiny teaspoon for every cup of water to brew. tiffid noh?

yeeeey!!!

sensing... dumbonicitis... losers etc.

if you are someone with a trusting nature, this is for you:

i've been around people too long to know those who are bad and those who can be trusted. it’s really not easy, but if you meditated when you were 1, did asanas when you were 2, get to nirvana early -- say 3 years old, maybe you can read people. but i particularly like that quack science called physiognomy, although you could be sued for calling it quack medicine. eh he eh he eh he!

* * * * * * * * * *

it really does give a lot of insight into being able to know what kind of person you are dealing with. i tried it, but of course, since i was born gifted in the psychic sense like nostradamus (eh he eh he eh he!), it works.

indeed, it is good to be informed before anyone will dupe you particularly if you were born gullible. that’s double vulnerability as far as i am concerned because someone who’s tanga, will never know his pocket was being picked by the one he’s dealing with and yet he keeps smiling to the other fellow. boy or girl, doesn’t really matter. pickpockets will always be pickpockets. sometimes you run across someone who will tell you in a very pleasant way, that to be childlike is good. my, my! (i’d been called that before inside my own hotel room by an invited guest who just had the very best and sumptuous lunch that could ever be had in this planet, but it never sounded good and the memory still stings. eh he, eh he!!!)

* * * * * * * * * *

to some, playing dumb could work for their purposes. look at our congressmen and senators, appointed officials and even a number of supposedly erudite persons, or holy men, or whatever that are in high officious positions. look at how they receive fat salaries, by playing just dumb. magin dat!  dr. azarcon, from the engineering dept in my school, used to say, you have to make drawings for the secretary of dept of trans and comm.. the higher you are the lower your level. weew!  he is right.

if you prepare yourself, one day you can sense them all:  the good of heart, the pickpockets (they have an elusive, often mistaken as exotic, character and air about them), the coward (they call themselves cool and steady, because really, they just prefer not to join the war), the hot and strongheaded ram-everything-in-my-way bully, etc., etc.

* * * * * * * * * *

the worst that can happen to someone who could care less about whether others are on the level or not, is getting stuffed while still alive.

of course, that's not fair, but when you run away from war and conflict, and say it's better to be in quiet and solemn surroundings than anywhere else, hostility will follow you anyway and hound you till you die.

so therefore, sense the trouble and fight.  i keep doing it specially when i'm into my third thermos of coffee -- that's when my senses are really alive and i seem to feel my head expanding, my carotids about to blow and my eyes opened too wide for comfort.  except when someone asks that she or he not be "read", i always make it a point to sense the other fellow and know if there is going to be a relationship or no.

if you were not born to have a trusting nature, of course this sensing and reading of other people is a useless subject matter.  therefore this item is strictly off limits especially to the spouses of policemen or the local equivalent of the fbi agent (who they say can never ever be trusted. eh he eh he eh eh!)

on your next negotiations attempt, take a piece of advise, do not just be sens-ible.  especially, be sensing-able. some of my colleagues dealing with instruments, are pupils of the always-be-childlike formation school.

up to this time, all they have to show between themselves, is a 2m usd account that would yield a small percentage fee for them.  really small, mind you and that was eons ago!  and even then, the bulk of the fee did not even reach them at the time because their associate --  take note:  a lawyer --- ran away with the loot!  aarggh!

they feel just slight remorse, as if losing more than a m in peso terms is just chicken.

hmmm.  if only they'd admit that getting a seminar from the master is the one that could do them a lot of good, then the master will gladly give them the training.

but like real childlike people, they are too proud, too selfish.

for these losers, there is no hope.  i think...

eeeech!  what a depressing post!
